Preview of the Prempeh.org 2007/08 Inter-Houses Athletics Competition

With the Ashanti Regional Inter-colleges athletics competition around the corner,
Prempeh College is leaving no stone unturned to really meet the other schools
squarely and win the trophy for the umpteenth time. Not only does the college plan
of keeping the inter-colleges trophy but dream of winning the ultimate Super-zonal
athletic competition on 18th March, 2008, a trophy that eluded them last year.
In light of this, the annual prempeh.org Inter-houses athletic competition
organized in the college to aid the sports masters choose the crème de la crème of
athletes come off from the 28th to 29th February, 2008 at 12pm.
This year’s competition will be divided into two. There will be a junior division
and senior division competitions. The junior division will pitch the form ones of
the various houses against each other with the form twos and threes battling in
the senior division contests.
Mention can be made of some houses such as Aggrey, Opoku Ware,Pearson and
Guggisberg who are feverishly preparing for the competition. Aggrey house want to
win the trophy by any possible means as well as Opoku Ware.
Pearson house however has sent a strong warning to the other houses that they
also come as wounded lions after failing to make it last year.
Frank Goloe will lead the charge for Opoku Ware house while the sensational Obour
Martin of Pearson will be no lightweight. Solomon Nketia, a revelation last year
will lead the army of the Aggreyans.
Minnows in terms of athletics, Serwaa house will make sure they do well this time
around. The boys from the President's house, Butler, have been going for trainings
each morning. The inter-houses will make us see if their trainings were worth it.
