The giant killers as they are known this year, Opoku Ware house fell to a
strong Ramseyer side today at the Prempeh College park.
Ramseyer, who lies
fourth from the bottom of the table are bent on making amends during the
second round of the competition and thus left no stone unturned in claiming
the vital 3 points today over an Opoku Ware house side who did not disgrace
themselves as they fought gallantly.
Ramseyer scored a goal in the early minutes of the game and went on to prove to all
that they could really defend. Ramseyer had all 10 men behind the ball
any time Opoku Ware house were on the break. With a solid and firm defence as
their refuge, the Ninth House members could not penetrate as Ramseyer took home
all the 3 points at stake.
Opoku Ware, then winless, was the first house to drop then-undefeated Butler, setting
the defending champions on a downward spiral. Several houses have found the courage to defeat Butler since.
The interesting race resumes after the midterm break.
