GFA appoints Prempeh's Lartey to coach U-17 team

Thursday, October 5, 2006

The Good Old Book says much is expected of him to whom much is given. This is evidenced in the way our 1982 Sports Prefect, Mr. Isaac Asare Lartey, Guggisberg House '82, has handled the Prempeh College Soccer team leading the college to win so many laurels in the last few years.

Mr. Lartey

Now, it is Prempeh everywhere when it comes to sports. Prempeh is mentioned when people are talking about academia and then sports.

Mr Lartey has won the hearts of almost everyone who enjoys the beautiful game in Ghana. His name is heard all over the place as the winning coach. Although Prempeh College could not win this years's National Milo Championship and retain the trophy, the coach's reputation has soared above any other coach in Ghana.

Recently, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly sponsored him and some athletes to go compete in a comeptition in Thailand during the vacation. Prempeh.org will give you more about that but for now, the coach of the college, Mr. Isaac Asare Lartey has been appointed by the Ghana Football Association to be the head coach of the Regional Under 17 National team.

Mr. Lartey has therefore been handed the power to usher players from the Ashanti Region into the National Under 17 team, the Black Starlets.

Kudos to Mr. Lartey.
