Krofrom FC beat Prempeh 2-1

Saturday, May 19, 2007

The college soccer team has started their preparations towards this year's National Milo Championship. The preparation which started some weeks ago has hit its peak with the team lining up some friendlies as the days go by.

The 2006 Prempeh team

The first team to serve as an aid test for the college was Krofrom FC, a 1st Division side in the Garden City.

The former captain of the College, Ahmed Deedat trains with this team in Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi.

In a match played at 7am yesterday and watched by residents of Suame and its environs, Prempeh boys merely lost the men by 2-1 margin. The game nearly ended 1-1, but for a late penalty earned by the professionals which they accurately converted.

Our goal scorer was the great Charles Brenya.

The venue was the Wesley College Football Park at the Suame Roundabout.

The college has lined up a host of friendlies and prempeh.org will be giving you all the latest from these matches.
